Under huge pressure from key Democrats in Bergen County – including his own running mates – Assemblyman Gordon Johnson has apologized for making an $1,850 personal contributio to Lyndon LaRouche’s political action committee. LaRouche has been condemned by the Anti-Defamation League as anti-Semitic, and national Democrats. "Had I been aware of the LaRouche record of anti-Semitism I obviously would not have made my contributions," Johnson said in a statement today that hardly disputes his image as one of the Legislature's less intelligent members.

Sure it does
There are some major issues facing NJ in the next couple years a guy who gives money so freely with being "unaware" i don't want him making important decisions on my behalf.
same old excuse from 1945
When the German nazis said they knew nothing about the holocaust
only in New Jersey
this has to rank up there with worst excuses of the year. than again in NJ we sure do come up with some good ones.
I wonder
I wonder if Johnson was planning to give some of his free taxpayer funded CLEAN ELECTION campaign money to LaRouche AGAIN?
What a lame excuse, I bet Ferriero's people picked up on that one, because the Bergen GOP are so inept they would never have thought to look.
Where is Senator Weinberg now to comment on what a poor decision this was for her running mate? No taking Johnson out publically to the wood shed like she did to Boss Ferriero?
Different rules for different people.
Johnson will win in spite of his bumbling self.
And I didn't know...
Johnson is a moron. They don't call him Johnson for nothing.
As if that's the only reason
Even if not for the anti-semitism, why would anyone give money to LaRouche? Even democrats usually bounce the LaRouche people from events because they start handing out socialist fliers most of the time.
The Domestic enemy within " Aryian"
did Aryian also forget to google his lawyer Hani Khoury too ? What is with the BCDO ???
Shameless McCarthyism
Gordon Johnson did not know that Lyndon LaRouche is anti-semitic for the simple reason that Mr. LaRouche isn't. This is an insult peddled against many people, including Israeli Jews, who do not agree with extreme pro-war positions. See www.larouchepac.com to get the truth on this.
