KYRILLOS: BUDGET CUTS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERGRepublican Caucus Vows To Find More Savings For Taxpayers In Budget
Senator Joseph Kyrillos, (R-Monmouth/Middlesex), issued the following statement following Governor Corzine’s Fiscal Year 2009 budget.
“Governor Corzine’s proposed budget cuts represent the tip of the iceberg. We will identify additional cuts to the State Budget. We need to begin a revolutionary and evolutionary process to reinvent what has been a broken state government.
“In addition to budget cuts, there must be pension, benefit and compensation reform along with a renewed effort to achieve consolidation of local government and school districts, and an aggressive sharing of municipal services.
“Moreover, we must implement policies that will make our state competitive once again.
