POLITICSNJ MOVES STENDER/FERGUSON RACE
TO "TOSSUP"
Scotch Plains, NJ -- The popular political New Jersey website www.politicsnj.com today moved the race between Linda Stender and Rep. Mike Ferguson in the 7th congressional district to a "tossup." The website that has up to date information on all politics in New Jersey stated that after careful consideration they believed the race to be a tossup. The rating of "tossup" was attributed to the remarkable strides the Linda Stender campaign has made in recent months.
Securing endorsements from the Star-Ledger, the New York Times, the Courier-News and the Hunterdon County Democrat along with a recent endorsement from actor Michael J. Fox show how the campaign is continuing to gain significant momentum in the final push to Election Day.
"This rating reflects the great strides we have made in recent months," said Linda Stender for Congress campaign manager Ed Oatman. "We have been closing the gap in this race for some time and are confident going into Election Day because Linda offers common sense change on issues like Iraq, stem cell research and choice. This rating shows that voters in this historically GOP friendly district are not happy with Mike Ferguson's performance in Washington, and are ready for a change."
The rating posted today can be found at http://www.politicsnj.com/prall2006.htm.
