Kelly hits Myers for Lautenberg donation
By Matt FriedmanThird district Republican congressional candidate Jack Kelly took Republican rival Chris Myer to task today for donating money to Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
According to campaign finance reports, Myers, the mayor of Medford and an executive at defense contractor Lockheed-Martin, donated $500 to Lautenberg in January, 2007.
As someone who has dedicated their life to the Republican Party and public service, it baffles me how ‘a conservative Republican’ and ‘Washington outsider’ could personally contribute to the liberal ‘Washington insider Frank Lautenberg,’” said Kelly in a press release. “It is clear that I am the candidate in this race who truly believes in the principles of the Republican Party of Ronald Reagan, not the Democrat Party of Hillary Clinton.”
Lautenberg appears to be the only federal Democrat that Myers has donated to. Last year he also gave $1,500 to retiring Rep. Jim Saxton and $2,300 to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. Out of $17,500 of donations listed on the Federal Election Commission’s Web site, Myers has given $17,000 to Republicans.
Myers spokesman Chris Russell said that the donation was in return for Lautenberg's record on Israeli relations.

Islamists in the Middle East, partisan politics shouldn't enter into the equation," he said." "Furthermore, the audacity of a career politician like Jack Kelly- who has voted to ncrease property taxes for 16 straight years and voted to increase his own axpayer-funded salary six times in the process- to question anyone's conservatism s beyond hypocrisy."

That is funny Jack - and a feeble attamept to justify you haven't done jack (no pun intended) to help the Republican party defeat Lautenberg. Please look at your FEC reports. No contributions to any opponent of any Democrat senatorial candidate - or any Democrat EVER. Chris gave $500 to Lautenberg compared to $17,000 to Republican candidates. What have you done for the Republican cause Jack? $1,200 in the year 2000 to the state party. That is it. All your bluster and "resources" as you put it, where is your contribution to defeat anyone? Whether he agreed, or disagreed, with the decision to award pension benefits to Lt. Laurel Hester’s partner, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurel_Hester, Jack Kelly should have at least had the courage to face his constituents.
The day the Ocean County Freeholders reversed their decision, and awarded pension benefits to Hester’s partner, Jack Kelly was no where to be found.
Not really a guy we need making tough decisions for the residents of the 3rd Congressional District.

That is ridiculous. So that would mean that every campaign contribution is a bribe? That may the dumbest thing I have heard today. Thousands of law abiding citizens choose to become involved in the political process through campaign contributions. Chris exercised his right to and did so to the tune of 17,000 to Republican candidates.

Why is the "conservative" Myers backing the liberal Frank Lautenberg? Note to Myers: if we can't trust you to be conseravtive with your own finances, why should we trust you with our nations and the 3rd districts? Is Myers endorsing Frank Lautenberg, the pro-choice, pro- gay marriage United States Senator?

Of course Chris Myers is going to have to throw some money at Democrats every now and then. He's a lobbyist and is more worried about whats good for him than he is about whats good for the people of New Jersey.
We need to say no to lobbyist Chris Myers, especially when we have a real conservative like Justin Murphy in the race.

In addition to Fiure, there are at least 200 politically connected Ocean County employees that costs taxpayers an additional 25 million dollars a year.
Where is Jack's giving?
$17,000 compared to $1,200. That is what Chris Myers has given to Republicans compared to Jack Kelly according to the FEC. Jack loves to complain - and often - that he truly believes in the principles of the party yet doesn't do anything to help. $1,200 in the year 2000 is supporting the party? Give me a break. He has NEVER supported a Republican Senate candidate. In fact, he has NEVER supported any Republican running for any federal office -EVER. His 2000 donation was to the state party's federal PAC. Nothing but a hypocrite.

Sorry GOP4all - you have got the wrong Chris Myers. If you look at the bio of the guy you have a link to, that Christopher Myers once worked for Rep. Phil Crane from Illinois and is now a lobbyist for Caterpillar Inc. It also states that he was "Formerly with Lockheed Martin." So Congressional Candidate Chris Myers has never been a lobbyist according to the US Senate.

Chris Myers was a listed Lobbyist for Lockheed Martin.
I used that link to double check myself to make sure i had my facts straight. It is Chris Myers, the same Chris Myers that is running for Congress. He did a lot of Defense Lobbying, which would make sense considering it is his area of expertise. it would explain his donation to Lautenberg. It must also make us question who's interests he will really represent in DC.
Try Getting a Clue!
It is NOT the same Chris Myers. The Chris Myers referred to in the Lockheed Martin LDA report now works for Caterpillar Inc. In his bio, it clearly states that he worked "Fomerly with Lockheed Martin" and was on staff at the US Chamber of Commerce. He is now the Manager of Tax and Appropriations Issues at Caterpillar, Inc. He formerly was a legislative staffer for Rep. Phil Crane as well - for whom candidate Chris Myers never worked. So before you start spreading lies and innuendo, get your head out of your rear and get the facts as well as a clue. All information is accessible on lobbyists.info which has the most up to date lobbying information.

Please do yourself a favor and get a clue. I actually did the research to verify what was posted as "fact" but clearly is not.
There are two different Chris Myers - One is running for Congress and is not a lobbyist and currently works for Lockheed Martin. The other used to work for Lockheed Martin and is a lobbyist. Two different people. Easy to confuse on Google.

I just called the DC number for Caterpillar Inc and asked for Chris Myers. Guess what - I GOT THROUGH TO HIM. I asked him if he had ever worked at Lockheed Martin in NJ? Answer no. Is he running for Congress? Answer No. Get a Clue GetaClue.

That question has already been answered by the campaign. My question to you is why the $17,000 Chris personally gave to Republican candidates which is more than Jack Kelly, Justin Murphy and Murray Sabrin combined, has gone totally ignored here by you and others?

Kelly = $500K+ Salary
Based solely on my research online, I have ascertained that Jack Kelly makes more than $500K in government financed jobs annually.
He seems to have a lot of different middle initials, but we all know it must be him trying to confuse the voters.
As for Myer's $500 donation in support of pro-Israeli officials, that's his call.
Cheers to Myers $17K donations to conservative Republicans.
Jeers to Kelly who has never donated a nickel to a single candidate and seems to oppose pro-Israel candidates.
