The Boss endorses Obama

In a letter on his Web site today, rock star Bruce Springsteen endorsed Barack Obama for president.
Springsteen, who grew up in Freehold and lives in Rumson, said that Obama “speaks to the America I've envisioned in my music for the past 35 years.”
“After the terrible damage done over the past eight years, a great American reclamation project needs to be undertaken,” wrote Springsteen. “I believe that Senator Obama is the best candidate to lead that project and to lead us into the 21st Century with a renewed sense of moral purpose and of ourselves as Americans.”
Jon Bon Jovi, who has yet to make an endorsement, could not be reached for comment. He told the New York Times in December that he wished Al Gore would run again.

In 1979, Bruce Springsteen began throwing his celebrity into political causes, joining MUSE - Musicians United for Safe Energy. MUSE was formed in the wake of the "Three Mile Island incident." and happily brought the production of nuclear power plants to a standstill. Nearly 30 years later, nuke plants power much of Europe, but not America, and not one person has been sick in the Harrisburg, PA, area as a result of Three Mile Island. Thanks to MUSE, we rely on filthy coal and foreign oil to power our homes and businesses. Way to go Bruce!
During his 1984-85 concert tour, Springsteen introduced his cover of the '60s protest song "War" with a rambling speech about how Reagan could get us all killed. Then Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot. Some crow, Bruce?
In the early 1990s, Springsteen got on the AIDS bandwagon, winning awards for his title track from the film "Philadelphia," in part because of the belief that AIDS would be an epidemic that would kill millions of Americans by spreading to the heterosexual community. Springsteen was wrong again.
In 2004, Springsteen toured for elitist liberal John Kerry. Eh. . . how'd that one go, Bruce?
Perhaps Bruce should stick to writing songs about girls, cars and the Jersey Shore, like he did when he was relevant in the 1970s.

During an interview on WABC radio Sunday, top Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef said the terrorist group supports Obama’s foreign policy vision. “We don’t mind–actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance,” Yousef said in response to a question about the group’s willingness to meet with either of the Democratic presidential candidates. That is great a endorsement for Obama from a burnt out Boss who is the worst example we can give to are kids.Boss is anti - american and irrelavant.
