Incumbent Sen. Frank Lautenberg bolstered his left-leaning credentials today with the endorsement of Democracy for America, which bills itself as the “nation's largest progressive political action organization.”
Lautenberg is running against Rep. Rob Andrews in the Democratic Senate primary.
"Frank Lautenberg has shown time and again that he is a champion of progressive values and Democracy for America is proud to endorse his campaign," said the Vermont-based group’s chair, Jim Dean.
Yesterday, Lautenberg got another progressive notch in his belt with the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Action fund of New Jersey.
