State Sen. Joe Pennacchio received the endorsement of New Jersey Right to Life today for his U.S. Senate campaign.
The organization is the state's most prominent pro-life advocacy group.
Pennacchio is running for the Republican nomination against Dick Zimmer, who’s pro-choice (with some exceptions), and Murray Sabrin, who is also pro-life. At a recent debate, Pennacchio laid out the strictest case against abortion, saying he thinks it should be banned at a federal level.

"The organizaton (sic) is the state's most prominent pro-life advocacy group. "
And, not for nothing here, but they are an anti-abortion group, not a pro-life group. They have no position on the death penalty, war, etc. They only care about making sure every blastosphere has an unimpeded path to birth.
Banned at a federal level?
Banned at a federal level? I suppose Mr. Pennacchio has no respect for state rights? Oh... and good luck with winning in November with that endorsement. This is NJ remember. ;)
I thought that people
would miss the obvious cynicism of the federal constitution amendment ploy. Great stance but lacks any possibility of being implemented. Judging from the above comments and the Right to Life bozos, I was right.
NJRTL are more than merely anti-abortion
NJRTL also, for example takes strong stands on stem-cell research, and euthanasia. The mislabeling award actually belongs to the so-called pro-choice groups that want to force taxpayers to fund abortions, force medical students to train for them, and force Catholic Hospitals to host them. No choices there.
Kiss of death or what?
Is this part of the "Manifesto" to round up all pregnant women in the nation onto the military bases in order for them to conceive in accordance to the federal regulations? Is this a joke or what?
Actually
the Manifesto held no firm position. It said that issue had no absolutes.
He should have stuck to it.
NJRTL lacks credibility
Too bad for Joe. I like Pennacchio, but the NJRTL endorsement is a bit of a double edged sword. In this blue state, I think it hurts him more than it helps.
