News of Adler's win is slow to make it to some supporters

The phones are ringing off the hook at State Sen. John Adler’s congressional campaign headquarters this morning, with callers offering consoling words to staffers, only to be told that no, actually, Adler won.

While the results are in, some of the political tickers haven’t updated, and still show Medford Mayor Chris Myers with a narrow lead over Adler. While the Courier-Post’s Web site called the race for Adler, it still shows Myers with a 2,000 vote lead.

Adler’s new media consultant, Jay Lassiter, has been fielding many of the calls.

"I am glad that I didn't party too hard last night since the phones have been ringing all morning with folks who needed a talking down,” he said.

dler (D-Cherry Hill) won the district last night by performing particularly well in Burlington County and Cherry Hill, while keeping Republican Chris Myers’ margin of victory to under 12 percent in Ocean County.

In Burlington County, Adler beat Myers by over 16,000 votes -- 79,846 to 63,497. In Adler’s hometown of Cherry Hill – the only Camden County municipality in the district – he beat Myers by a huge margin – 20,077 to 11,322. And in Ocean County, which Republicans were counting on, Myers beat Adler by about11,000 votes -- 71,340 to 56,191.

Combined, Adler won 51.6% of the total vote to Myers' 48.4% -- a margin of about 10,000 votes.

myers was not the hero people thought he was

myers was to negative and nothign to offer

his best argument is slush funds which is completely bs

if u r wondering y u lost myers, it is because u had nothing to offer and so much shit to talk.

and myers should have never tried connecting adler's incredible children to slush funds.

it was clear that adler deserved this seat and he got it and not myers the man who looks like george costanza and can't be funny

great job adler and myers have fun runnign for councilman or creating jobs at lockheed martin which gave adler money for his campaign.

one more thing for myers is that u don't beat people up like jack kelly then expect them to help u.

overally myers was to negative while adler was campaigning his ass off and it finally paid off.

Congressman Adler sounds good to me

Amen to that, winmyvoteNJ! For someone like Adler, who has a middle-class background and wealth of intellectual talent, to represent the 3rd district is incredibly refreshing, and his legislative priorities will dovetail well with President Obama's. A clean environment, transparent government, expanded access to health care, middle and lower class-centered economic policies -- Adler and Obama should follow through on their promises and make these a priority.

Interesting Election

I still say congrats to Myers for running period. This was not easy and I will be the first to admit that I honestly thought that Burlco would pull him through, but the numbers were overwhelming from top of ticket.

But Martin, people voted all over - what was interesting for one case, Mt Laurel had 4,000 new registrations, and most if not all were dem. Obama won, Myers won, Freeholders and clerk went Dem, and the GOP candidates for council won big.

Moorestown, Obama won, Myers won, GOP council candidates won and freeholder/clerk went dem

Mt Holly, Westampton usually GOP but went all dem.

I will be the first to admit looking at some of the other towns, it was interesting and very very a typical of any election.

I am already gearing up for the Gov Race next year!
