He was on popular targets. He did tone down the Pro-Life aspect from previous speeches and deleted the gay marriage issue. May be he does have a learning curve. But it is way too late.
Time Issue
They were only given 2 minutes each to speak, and everyone had to cut some things from there speeches they are used to giving, (last week Middlesex allowed 3 minutes)
He chose to focus his time on the economy, how to beat Stender and treatment of our veterans.
Both Sordillo and Marks metioned the Pro-Life issue, to very tepid applause.
And I really don't want to hear Mike Ferguson being referred to as the Conservative standard-bearer.
The man is a Pro-Life Democrat and votes with the Democrats on issues like drilling, union intimidation bill, min wage increase, SCHIP expansion. He has horrible 2nd Amendment rankings and is in the Club for Growth dog house. Equally as abysmal is his earmark reform positions, voting against 10 of Jeff Flake's anti-earmark amendments.
Sadly, the new frontrunner Leonard Lance shares to many of these positions, not all, but still to many.
Sparky -sad day in camp Kate
You scoff at Fergie being mentioned as the standard bearer for conservatives...how can you talk...you endorsed KATE, she the most liberal of the group. The tv cameras are off... so you can stop pretending to be something you really are not. You should change the name of your web site to "Fake Conservatives with Attitude."
Nice Try
Clarky, I have no idea where you came up with statement like that ..
You must have her confused with someone else.. Kate not only offered the most conservative plan to the voters, she ran the best grassroots effort.
Your hatred for all things Whitman is obvioulsy clouding your judgement.
The only thing negative
by Republicans about Mike was that he didn't answer his mail.
Clarkvip revealed
is a Marty Marks crony and everyone on this website knows it. I am a Kate supporter because she worked harder than all the other candidates in this race combined and people have noticed. I like Marks... he is by far the best speaker of the the field but thats where his "best of" list ends. To keep attacking Whitman by calling her a liberal is absurd. The only issue Marks is more conservative on is life... and in the 7th district thats a plus in a primary but a minus in the general. Clark is so bitter about everything going on Im starting to think he is Marty Marks.
Should we play guess who pays Sloburn?
Come on it will be fun...
I wish
Unlike most of the cronies in NJ politics I like most New Jerseyans work for a living... Although I do wish Whitman would share some of that huge warchest with me for all my support :)
