United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1360, which represents 11,000 South Jersey members, today endorsed U.S. Rep. Robert Andrews (D-1) for the U.S. Senate.
"Congressman Andrews has been at the forefront on legislation affecting working families," said Local President Sam Ferraino, Jr. "The Congressman has been a strong friend and supporter of labor. He is the sponsor of the Employees Free Choice Act, strongly supporting the right for workers to bargain for fair wages and benefits. He has supported increasing the federal minimum wage and the right of workers to strike without fear of being permanently replaced."
Andrews is running against U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
