Assemblyman Albert Coutinho (D-Newark)
NEWARK - The Senate primary campaign of U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews (D-1) today announced support from other Essex County politicians.
Assemblyman Fred Scalera (D-Nutley), Assemblyman Albert
Coutinho (D-Newark) and Newark East Ward Councilman Augusto Amador all endorsed the South Jersey congressman, who is running against U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ).

Norcross is buying himself more politicians. I hope they demanded a good price!
Who is Fred Scalera?
And he is an Assemblyman? This is scary, never heard of this guy?

welcome aboard
When you present a substantive platform on issues such as the Iraq War, gas prices, and other issues, and work hard to earn the trust of your constituents, both of which Andrews has done, then support falls in line, and these new endorsements from Essex County politicians are very welcome indeed. Andrews has support from elected officials in North and South Jersey and across a wide-range of politicians from Cape May to Bergen County.
There is a new coalition forming statewide for Democrats and it's pointed toward the future of the state party and what Democrats can do as a positive, collective force. Andrews is building this coalition, and he's deserving of our support.
Adubato Rules
its more about being pro-Adubato and anti- Payne/Booker than it is about Andrews/Lautenberg.
I agree 100%. Andrews'
I agree 100%. Andrews' campaign is refreshing and I think he is going to bring a lot to the table when he is elected.
