In Orange, Hawkins sticks to two public salaries - instead of three

Hawkins has no experience and or enough confidence in us taxpayers to believe that we see through what he is doing. His "eye candy" is really his girlfriend and we have to pay over $200,000.00 more in taxes because of this couple. And we know about all his positions that he has no experience for. We have great people in the fire department to give that position to. Our taxes are rising and we have no services and he is lining his pockets like a dirty cop does. Those who support him only continue to do so because they have to "save face" even though many are really upset that he did this. Give him a chance are you kidding so he can steal more money. We need to began a recall. Page, Morell, Brown, Eason, Holmes you all need to began the recall effort.

That which is going on in Orange is the perfect reason why good people don’t go into politics. Ignorant citizens such as you chase good people away by making it so difficult to do a proper job. Guess jerks like you want the mayor to work for free. Are you homeless and want a roommate? Recall, if I were him, I’d quit and let the city end up with what it deserves if the citizens continue to let this abuse go on. Guess you like our city being a ghetto. I for one don’t. People like you make us look pretty stupid to the rest of the county. Clearly you are absolutely out of your mind. How long have, Page, Brown, Morrell and Eason been involved with the city, most of them with leadership positions? Could the old guard be part of the problem? Didn’t our city deteriorate under their watch? Seems to me that the Mayor is listening to his constituents by not taking a salary. He’s more selfless than I would ever be. He appears to be dedicated. How many people would give up a salary to take such abuse. And this “eye candy” thing, you are just jealous of youth, brains and good looks. Get a life or go back under the rock from which you came. It’s insane to even begin to think Mayor Hawkins is responsible for the taxes we pay when he’s only been in office a few weeks. But he is responsible for cleaning up the criminals in Orange and giving hope to young men and creating liaisons with people who can help us turn our city around. Don’t worry Mayor Hawkins, there are many of us who’ve got your back. Keep your head high, put your shoulders back and continue to use your brain. Lead us into pride and prosperity. Your warriors are ready to follow.

Wow! mayor who listens to the people and who wants to serve full time! We are on the move Orange, New Jersey. Let's get on with the business of improving our town now. I read that crime statistics are improving and criminals are being arrested. That's a good sign.

about the use of unflattering terms, the use of the words "eye candy" are inappropriate and often come from jealous people. If we want to be thought of as a city on the rise we must respect our administrators. If we have time to waste then we should be out in the parks cleaning them, or using cleaner to remove graffitti
rather than blogging about things that are inappropriate and show jealousy and a lack of knowledge. ALL people who work like to be paid. So of course, like every other town, we pay our mayor and adminstrators. This is silly. Time to move on.

I just couldn't keep silent any longer. How silly are you? Would you or do you work for no pay or a dramatically inadequate salary? I don't think so. Why do you expect our elected officials to do the same? Stupidity? Jealousy?
Beauty is not a crime and yes you can be physically attractive and highly intelligent. I would know. As for the Mayor and his choice for Chief of staff, let them do what they have been elected and selected to do which is make Orange better not worse. Let us work with them to do the same and not talk about them.
