Gov. Jon Corzine: Politicker file photo
Governor Jon S. Corzine today released a statement on the selection of Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) as Barack Obama's running mate.
"Joe Biden is the best choice for the nation and Barack Obama," said Corzine in his statement. "His foreign policy expertise is unequaled. He is authentic and direct, a man of deep integrity. He has dedicated himself to public service and has been guided by values that are deeply rooted in the American middle class. He has spent decades working in Washington without ever living there. Joe Biden will be a great partner in Barack Obama's efforts to bring about change in America."
There is a good chance Gov. Jon Corzine will pick his running mate before July 16, if for no other reason than to get the Democratic Lt. Governor ... >

Broy - your right. Now I'm positive the Dems will lose in Nov althought unfortunately i'm sure it'll be close enough for liberals to content it was stolen once again.
Mr. Authentic and Direct? Nice
Gee, here is a very good example of old Joe being "authentic and direct" (up in New Hampshire years ago) as the Governor would have us believe.

Corzine
Why doesn't he just stick to just screwing NJ up and leave the rest of the country alone.
Clintonites must be mad.
Clintonites are spinning this all the same way. Poor Corzine should say good by to his Washington aspirations. Welcome back to backward NJ, Governor.
it's funny
obama will win, because he will pull a sympathy vote... and because people don't want to vote for an old person...
yet... launtenberg will win because he has a (D) next to his name even though he is 5000 years old and has done nothing...
btw... when is anyone going to lower our fed drinking age? we have the highest drinking age in the world... even higher than muslim countries... how is that possible?

Hillary
I am sorry to see that Obama did not pick Hillary as his VP. If anyone deserved it, Hillary did. Biden is not the person I would want as Vice President, not did I want to see Michelle Obama as our first lady.
Terrible Choice
I was hoping so hard that Obama would be stupid enough to pick Joe Biden. It's wrong on so many levels.
The best choice Obama could've made was Tim Kaine. It was such a no brainer, especially if you're running a campaign of "hope and change" and trying to stray from "business as usual".
Kaine, like Obama, hasn't been in the game for that long and is an executive branch politician, the latter being much needed to balance out the ticket.
I really fail to see how Obama stands to benefit from selecting a runningmate that one, appealed to virtually nobody in the Democratic Party in any of his Presidential bids, two, has been in the senate longer than John McCain which cancels out his argument for straying from "business as usual", and three, voted for the Iraq War after he beat Hillary Clinton to a bloody pulp for her yes vote on the war and beat her for the nomination pretty much based on that more than anything.
Ah Barack Obama, the gift that just keeps on giving!
