McGreevey on Oprah today

Former First Lady Dina Matos McGreevey will appear on Oprah Winfrey's show today to discuss her new book, Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage, which was released today.  Barnes & Noble ranked her book sales this morning at #162.   Her estranged husband, former Governor James E. McGreevey, appeared on the same show last September to launch his own book, The Confession.

let's move on

I think the public's level of interest in this saga has come to an end.

Ranking

162 on the Barnes and Noble list? Maybe it will move higher when people read that Dina not only didn't know he was gay, but was also oblivious to other commonly held beliefs like he was also a Democrat. I think she may also reveal that she suspected Jim had an affair with Harry Potter back when they were at Hogwarts. Ahhh, the publishing world.

What's wrong with that?

What's wrong with that? Oprah's viewers are McGreevey constituents. It is one of the few places McGreevey will feel welcome.

Jim McGreevey is a disgrace

Jim McGreevey is a disgrace to this state, the Democrats should be ashamed of him.

The Parents and Oprah and The General Public....

...That feeds off of/exploits the crap/gossip that leaks out of other peoples lives are all indications of how pathological is the state of human affairs.

We live in a world where people are starving, sick, at war, homeless, tortured and systematically ripped off and screwed in every way imaginable...and look what gets our attention.

Wouldn't it be cool if the yellow journalists gave us a scandal and nobody gave a crap.

When we get to the point where the circulation of "the inquirer" (and its ilk) is zero and the audience for such an episode of Oprah is zero and people care more about life and death decisions of a leader than about with whom, and how, that leader has sex; virtually all our other real problems will have been solved.

If humanity eventually becomes extinct that last generation will look back with bemused bitterness on the sheer merde that occupied the attention of the people who lived in a time where it was still possible to make an objective difference.

McGreevey bigger jerk than expected

I always suspected that McGreevey was a crook, but I never realized he was such a narcissistic, manipulative, egotistical creep! Dina has no reason to lie. McGreevey has every reason to lie. I feel VERY sorry for his daughters and wives. The thought that this disgrace is teaching is obscene.

"narcissistic, manipulative, egotistical creep!"

Putting aside the fact that this is a contentious parental custody legal battle; assume that everything you heard is actually true and that the mom is 100% honest and 100% perfect...are you really surprised to hear that in the current political framework the kind of person it takes to "win" happens to be a "narcissistic, manipulative, egotistical creep"?

What about the women who marry "successful" men who display all these qualities because they are materially attracted to the fame/fortune/money?

How narcissistic/egotistical/manipulative is that?

Does anyone think those three words don't apply to many of the people at the top in our current administration?

I suspect that narcissistic/egotistical/manipulative describes many (if not most) of the people who are in power in every field and at every level and in all political parties.

Our whole culture is messed up; not just this one family.

Reading gossip magazines and watching exploitation voyeuristic TV isn't going to heal our materialistic dog eat dog dehumanized society.

Further, none of is is perfect...and at particular moments in time I dare say we could all be seen as "narcissistic/egotistical/manipulative".

If there's anyone out there who truly believes that you are with out sin; then you can throw the first stones.

Why has the publisher not taken down such trash as this below? .....Does your silence, dear reader indicate you find it acceptable public dialogue?
