Monmouth County Democrats Re-Organize
Victor Scudiery to Serve 9th Term as Chairman

MONMOUTH COUNTY – Victor V. Scudiery, Chairman of the Monmouth County Democratic Party received unanimous consent in an unchallenged race to continue to serve as Chair for another two years. The event, attended by Democratic County Committee members from across the county, was held on Tuesday night at the Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands. The Chairman, as well as the executive board were elected to a two-year term to serve concurrently with the elected Democratic County Committee members.

Also elected on Tuesday night was Rebecca Aaronson, a one-term Vice Chair of the party, former Manalapan Mayor and Committeewoman, and twice candidate for Monmouth County Freeholder. Her election, along with all other members of the executive board, was unanimous and unchallenged. Mayor Gerald Tarantolo of Eatontown was elected as the Corresponding Secretary, Susan Folta of Iinterlaken as the Treasurer, and Steve Morlino of Howell as the Sergeant-At-Arms.

Democrats both on the stage and in the room expressed strong confidence in their ability to elect Democrats this year in Monmouth County. The unchallenged races were seen as a strong sign of unity among Democrats as to who their leadership should be and in what direction their organization is moving. Candidates Beverly Bova-Scorano for Surrogate, Barbara McMorrow for Freeholder and Lenny Inzerillo for Freeholder now take their spot alongside their party’s leadership and head into November united to ensure that the fight to make Monmouth County a two-party county continues on.
