Monmouth County Republican Chairman Adam Puharic’s Statement on Inzerillo WithdrawFreehold, NJ – The following statement was released today by Monmouth County Republican Committee Chairman Adam Puharic on the Democrat Freeholder candidate Leonard Inzerillo withdrawal from the race:
“I commend Chairman Scudiery for successfully pressuring Mr. Inzerillo off his party’s ticket this year. Clearly Mr. Inzerillo possessed serious ethical challenges and lapses in judgement when it came to campaign compliance issues.
It is for reasons like these that Monmouth Republicans raised the bar by adopting an ethical roadmap for reform within our own party.
While Mr. Inzerillo withdraw from the campaign brings one matter to a close, I hope that Mr. Scudiery will now follow the Monmouth County Republican Party’s lead by applying a higher standard while selecting a replacement candidate.
Republicans look forward to a spirited, issue-based campaign.
