A new generation offers a leader?

Wow

I see someone watched Meet the Press or Chris Matthews or This Week or any news report last night. This is nothing but a visual of a report that the Kennedys are endorsing Obama because he reminds them of JFK-where is the insight? The Lonegan/Corzine cartoon was good. This makes Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama look bad. There is nothing in it for Ted Kennedy. He just likes the guy, and Barack did not have to put on a show to get the endorsment as this cartoon suggests. As I have said, I am not ready to call BHO JFK just yeat, but kudos to Senator Obama for landing this endorsment. And to Rob-thanks for another cartoon dripping in obviousness.

?

When is Ted Kennedy going to be charge with the death of Mary Jo Kopechne?

As soon as

George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld wash the blood of our service men and women off of their hands. People in glass houses....

There is something in it for

There is something in it for Teddy...more influence. If Obama wins, and is able to inspire people beyond the presidency to vote for Democrats in contested Senate seats, imagine Teddy, already having earned the president's backing, in a democratically-controlled Senate with a 60-seat majority.

I'm assuming that Obma can beat any of the less-than-stellar republicans the party throws against him.

I wonder if.....

The Tubby one will feel the same way about change when his term is up?

Kinda doubt it.

Kennedy wants change...HAH

"Errr ah I hereby endorse my colleauge, err BAHHHHRACH OHBAMA for the, er ah, office my brotha had, because BAHHHHRACH is, er ah, definately the leader this country needs! (HUGE SIP OF SCOTCH) Alright, people, im done hea' whos got the keys?  im driving"

Kennedy's endorsement is big only to liberals.  The Senator from Massachusetts is not exactly credible to the rest of us voters with more than one brain cell between our ears.  The Kennedy family backs Sen. Obama because he doesnt question the Kennedy power base and supports them, much like he did in Chicago, following the old guard into power.  Its pretty transparent that there is no love lost between Sen. Clinton and Sen. Kennedy.

Still think Obama wants change?  I think not...

Finally a good move by Teddy.....

.....I guess he got sick of the disgusting race-baiting tactics of the Clintons.

About time.....

GOP Opposition

Rudy and McCain can beat him. Romney and Huckabee can't.

As a Rudy supporter, it's looking more and more like the best I can hope for is that McCain taps him to be his VP candidate which is a good possibility. Out of the remaining field, he's the most viable candidate.

As far as the Ted Kennedy endorsement goes, it just goes to show what libs mean whenever they say they want change. Higher taxes, more spending and more government handouts. That's what Ted Kennedy or any Democrat has stood for for decades. Do we really need to be reminded of this in New Jersey???

The "higher tax" thing kind

The "higher tax" thing kind of gets me, especially coming from "republican" mouths.

Right now we have a war that is going to end up costing us over 1 trillion dollars... and that's as far as we can see for right now.

Our economy is also starting to turn to crap... hmm i wonder why.

I know... more tax breaks!!! Let's dangle some of the crumbs in front of the middle class (1200 dollars) and maybe this will fix it, at least long enough for them to realize theyre losing way more in property value, inflation, and interest rates!

My point is that maybe the Democrats do tax a little too much, especially in New Jersey, (where money goes into the black holes of urban areas), but people who call themselves Republican on this website have no right to complain about a potential Obama candidacy versus any of the other mainstream Republicans.

Republicans say that they won't tax and want a small government, but they end up spending even more money and perpetuating the military-industrial complex.

I don't want to hear people knock on Obama for "high taxes", when he hasnt even taken office yet, because it's the most hypocritical thing I've heard.

New generation and the constitution

Both generations of Kennedys are still trying to locate the constitution on the bottom of a liquor bottle.

God save us from these elite dilitants

It's Mike not Rudy and McCain.

Senator Obama is like Mike on the Republican side. They both want change and change the respective parties establishments and leaderships.

On the Democratic side, Ted concluded that it is time to get rid of Clintons for good. This would give him unquestionable leadership role in the Senate. However, he does not know that he is playing with fire. Wait for Hillary to get back to Senate from her failed presidency run. Watch out Teddy. You have not yet seen the best of Hillary.

A good day for Obama

As a true republican, even I was impressed with the way the Kennedy family came out for Senator Obama... I hope that we can have a true battle of ideas ebtween Obama & McCain in the general election. Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney are pretty much shameless panderers at this point and would eat their young for a vote...

Change Kennedy!

It's great to see Ted Kennedy endorsing change.  He can start by vacating his own office in the Capitol building!
