Norcross will back Codey

South Jersey Democratic leader George Norcross will support Richard Codey for re-election as State Senate President, according to several sources close to Norcross and Codey. There is also considerable speculation that South Jerseyan Stephen Sweeney will be the new Senate Majority Leader.

Democrats picked up one Senate seat in Tuesday's mid-term election, with Jefferson Van Drew and James Whelan defeating Republican incumbents. Norcross played a key role in ousting Republicans Nicholas Asselta and Sonny McCullough.

One Democratic Senator, Ellen Karcher, lost her bid for another term.

Dick Codey is the ultimate

Dick Codey is the ultimate deal cutter. He just put the fire out on another coup. Good for him. He had alot to do with the map that Dems now enjoy

The Answer Man

Can anyone ask Mr. Norcross, if they're planning on putting a new school funding proposal up before, or after the new Legislature gets sworn in? Thanks.
