Female Leaders From Essex County Endorse Lautenberg For Senate
Female leaders from across Essex County today announced they are endorsing Senator Frank R. Lautenberg for re-election, citing his years of work and support for female initiatives in the United States Senate on behalf of women in the state and across the country.
"Senator Lautenberg has a proven record of results and is committed to the vital issues affecting women, children and our communities in New Jersey," said State Senator Nia Gill (D-34th District).
"Senator Lautenberg has been a forceful and successful advocate for many issues I support and for the people of New Jersey. He has compiled a record of accomplishments that merit our support," said Assemblywoman Mila M. Jasey (D-27th District).
"When thousands of New Jersey's children were in danger of losing healthcare coverage, Senator Lautenberg was there to stop it from happening. He has always stood up for the interests of Essex County and New Jersey, and I am proud to stand with him as he continues to fight for our needs in the Senate," said Freeholder Linda Lordi Cavanaugh.
"Senator Lautenberg has fought for common-sense, progressive principles, like the first increase in the minimum wage in a decade and a woman's right to choose. He is a champion for the values that are most important to us, and that is why I strongly support his re-election to the United States Senate," said Freeholder Patricia Sebold.
