You Don't Have Veto Power Over Your Own Image and Name?

You may not have the veto power over whether the campaign sends out the mailer, but you sure as heck have the power to keep your picture and name off of it.

If you have a problem with the mailer, keep your name off of it. If you decide to put your name on it, then you endorse it. It's your name, it's your picture, and it's your choice. You can't weasel out of it.

What's amazing is that you say you are a lawyer, but you don't know that you can't turn down a case when you are appointed to defend someone unless you have a conflict. There's no conflict, so if you had been appointed to this case you would have had to take it. Or maybe you would have weaseled out of it like you are trying to weasel out of your responsibility for your name being on this hit piece.

If that's the kind of leadership you offer, you shouldn't be in our legislature at all.

A SAD COMMENTARY ON THE STATE OF THE GOP

Desperate times call for desperate measures. But, this takes the cake. How lame can this GOP campaign get ? I thought that Phil Haines had more class than this. But sadly, it turns out that he does not. What will he, Blimpie Addiego, and Know Nothing Rudder stoop to next ? Don't change that channel because it will only get worse over the coming weeks !

Sad indeed NJ Wizard

The only thing that is desperate is the Dem campaign's trying desperately to hang in there.

That you stoop to name calling is very telling of your lack of substance and the same substance that the Bodine camp brings to the table.

The Riley's actually had two conflicts - one was case load - that was an issue early in the case and Riley chose to stay on. The second is the political aspect. Every attorney, who is objective, agrees that either of these issues would have worked with the judge simply because there is no shortage of bottom-dwelling attorneys seeking to make a name for themselves that would jump at the case.

Both Dem and Rep polls show the Reps winning. The D's negative attacks and barrage of TV ads seems to have no real effect.

Keep on moaning Tracy - but this campaign will come down to the senate seat and Haines wins big time.

Tracy is So Sorry

AS I posted on the first part of this story this is truly scary as to the mindset of these animals!

GOP did right to bring this out

More Cowbell Please !!

Formerly Anonymous: No, he doesn't.

Isn't that sad? Listen to what Haines said in that clip and read between the lines: Phil Haines did not approve that stupid mailer. The dynamc duo at HQ, along with Paulsen, strong-armed their way into power, took over the entire GOP campaign, and they are screwing up miserably!  I hope Haines' reputation and work ethic carries the day in spite of the terrible job these idiots are doing for the GOP.

And when it's all over, then there will be judgement day for Paulsen and company.

Phil Struggles Mightily

Phil- Let's review... if the courts ordered your law firm to take the case you would fight your law firm... but when it comes to a campaign flyer with your name on it, you can't fight Paulsen and Layton? C'mon Phil. We all thought you were better than that. With logic and reasoning like that it is no wonder your private practice didn't thrive.

You assume

Haines saw the mailer before it went out. If you knew the characters at HQ, you wouldn't assume that.

Tracy is Scummy

Lets face it, she thinks voters are stupid and they will just knell at her feet because she is tracy riley and she does not have to explain her actions.
