Ferguson?

I wouldn't elect Ferguson dog catcher...let alone Governor.

Leon, are you kidding?

Sarlo will be happy to come out of the EnCap and Xanado deep doodo with out too much of a stench and keep his Senate seat.

Republican Conscience

RC,

Please don't forget the cavat was "Regardless of political realities" there are some names on there which are really laughable, so why not Paul Sarlo, the up and coming star of the Bergen Democrats?

Sarlo is Pay-to-Play Poster Child and an Embarrassment

Paul Sarlo is no boy wonder. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with New Jersey politics.

Senator Sarlo is a senior VP and Chief Engineer for a major construction firm that reaps tons of state and municipal contract work. He is also the brother of an attorney who is a principal in an Architectural firm that has seen its public contracts increase dramatically since the Senator became Ferriero's pet.

Sarlo is not only mayor of Wood Ridge but he is also municipal engineer for at least one town within his own legislative district. He has regularly sold out local Democrats in his own district to Republicans and pay-to-play developers. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

This guy is a Ferriero clone. He is an embarrassment to all good, honorable and decent Democrats everywhere.

Senator Paul Sarlo

To Terry Molloy. Thats just youropinion. The majority of people in the 36th district feel that Senator Sarlo has done an excellent job. This will be seen in his victory in November despite the whining and charachter assasination of people like you who haven't been elected by anyone.

This poll could be a reality show.

Let's have Wally eliminate half of the low scores and run the poll again, then eliminate half of the lowest scores again, until the final 4. Who knows we could end up with Golan Cipel, who was obviously overlooked when selecting the list.

Sarlo is all about Sarlo

Not sure where you live in the 36th district. My guess is Sarlo's block.

Many towns hate the Ferriero wonder boy. Sarlo is the pay for play poster child. He is all about himself. The only thing he cares about the 36th for is what it can do for his future ambitions(majority leader).

Wonder when the Passaic debacle follow through Woodridge next. One can only hope.

Sarlo for Class crook is a better election day campaign for him.

Can Guarino win?

It amazes me how no one actually looks at the numbers when they discuss such things as like who will win? In 2003, Sarlo defeated Kelly 18,035 to 14,965 or roughly 3,000 votes. In the City of Passaic, Sarlo trounced Kelly 3,766 to 950 or 2,816 votes. In essence, his whole margin of victory came out of the City of Passaic. Given Passaic's corruption problems. Can they get the vote out in a generally regarded low turnout cycle? Kelly carried four of the district's eleven communities (Nutley, Carlstadt, East Rutherford and Lyndhurst). Kelly easily won Nutley by 1,437 votes (3,402-1,965). This time, one would think Rutherford will be in play given the fact the Democrats are raising taxes and lost a council seat last year (Sarlo won Rutherford by only 133 votes in 03). Worth noting Scalera lost in Nutley in 03 to Digaetano as well as Lyndhurst Mayor DiLascio. To finish third in your hometown is a bit pathetic. To Sarlo's credit, he carried his own town by nearly 1,000 votes (1,731 to 742). But there's a huge tax increase again and rumblings of a write-in candidacy for mayor. If the GOP actually analyzed the numbers, this race is very much a competitive contest.

Christie or Codey

The only two men this state trusts at this point. What we need is a morale boost, and a government we can trust. People trusted the Codey Administration and people would trust a Christie Administration. other than that...it would be more of the same
