The Republicans for Bodine today announced that Rob O’Connor, vice-chair of the Cinnaminson County Committee and former field liaison for the County GOP, was joining their team to head up the field and recruitment efforts. This is a major blow to the 8th District Republican campaign as O’Connor was arguably the hardest working and most dedicated campaign worker in the organization.
“I have worked with nearly everyone the GOP currently has involved in their campaigns and I can tell you unequivocally that no one works harder or is more passionate than Rob O’Connor. Rob will play an integral role in helping elect Bodine, Riley and Fifis,” said Sean Kennedy, Chair of Republicans for Bodine.
O’Connor, who had worked tirelessly on campaigns for Republican candidates in a variety of aspects over the past few years, felt simply that Bodine, Riley and Fifis were the candidates who best represented his values and beliefs.
In a letter and email to Republicans today, O’Connor explained that “Fran continues to govern based on his set of core beliefs and values, consistent with those of Ronald Reagan and real Republicans and he represents what good government is all about.”
“I am doing this because I want to stand up for an injustice that has occurred and support the person I believe is the best candidate to represent all the residents of the 8th district. That person is clearly Fran Bodine,” O’Connor said.
“One of the greatest lessons I learned very early in politics is that it is not always about the party, but about individuals and good government. That is why I urge you to support Fran Bodine, who will continue to represent you with class, dignity and with your best interests in mind, just as he has done for more than 30 years,” O’Connor concluded.
