MONMOUTH DEMS FULL OF TALK, EMPTY ON IDEAS
- Go Along Dems Have No Plan for Monmouth County’s Future -Freehold Borough, NJ - Monmouth County Republicans today said that their opponents, with less than a month to go until Election Day, have provided no plan to reduce the size and cost of county government. The GOP says this is another example of a Democrat campaign in disarray.
“Our opponents have offered very little in the way of a plan to cuts taxes and spending without making catastrophic cuts in services, said Monmouth County candidate for Freeholder Andrew Lucas. “When I’m walking door-to-door to visit voters across the county, people say that we need to find ways to provide property tax relief.
The GOP county campaign unveiled its campaign platform of proposals in September that include an Office of Shared Services, reducing county departments up to 10 percent, right sizing the county workforce, and an economic development summit to create jobs. In anticipation of benefiting from wheeling, Democrats continue to reject calls for campaign finance reform measures.
Recently, at a candidate forum in Asbury Park, McMorrow said she wants to “expand existing county programs.
“I find it disingenuous that my opponent says she will cut spending when her record as councilwoman shows differently, said Lucas. “When McMorrow says expand, we know she means spend more tax dollars.
Democrat candidate for Freeholder Greg Gibadlo says he has lived in Monmouth County for the last 30 years. However, according to reports, Gibadlo has been employed by the resorts industry from Los Angeles to Myrtle Beach. In a release issued today by the Gibadlo campaign, he said he wanted to prioritize county resources to address gang violence by the Crips and Bloods.
“I’m sure Mr. Gibadlo has had much experience in dealing with gang violence while overseeing resort lifestyle on the beach in South Carolina, said Monmouth County GOP Chairman Adam Puharic. “The priority for voters is cutting property taxes. Democrats are playing the blame game and voters can see through their inadequacies.
