A top adviser to Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) says the senator now believes that the warrantless wiretapping program that President Bush put into place is lawful, according to the New York Times.
This seems to be at odds with what McCain told Chris Wallace of Fox News back in 2006:
WALLACE: But you do not believe that currently he has the legal authority to engage in these warrant-less wiretaps.
MCCAIN: You know, I don’t think so, but why not come to Congress? We can sort this all out. I don’t think — I know of no member of Congress, frankly, who, if the administration came and said here’s why we need this capability, that they wouldn’t get it. And so let’s have the hearings.

McCain is simply Bush-lite.
McCain is simply Bush-lite. These talking heads speaking about the possibility of a McCain landslide are simply on crack or hoping they'll have something exciting on their hands come November.

Nice job repeating the Democratic talking points Walton. Are you related to Martin_One?

No, just a firm believer in what my eyes see and my brain tells me. Do you think McCain is going to win Michigan? New Jersey? Ohio?

Yes.
Democracy is an awful way to run a country, but it's the best system we have.- Winston Churchill
That's CHRIS Wallace!
If you're going to disseminate DNC talking points make sure you have the correct names, at the very least.
The Fox News interview was conducted by Chris Wallace, not his father Mike Wallace. Nice editing Politicker NJ.
Thanks for the catch
Thanks for the catch Neolibertarian. It's been updated.
Stereotype?
You just had to make Obama start off the sentence using 'Man,...'.
In his interviews, I don't recall him starting sentences like that.
Is this a case of SWB, Speaking While Black?
Not sure who you're trying to poke fun at, studmoose
... but if it was a serious criticism of Rob Tornoe, well I would say, I won't expect him to change that and respond the way he did with the confusing Wallaces. That kind of thing doesn't seem to bother him. I must say I'm impressed that it bothered you -- that is, if you're really sincere and not just being a bit of a sarcastic bozo. But I'm sure you'd never sink that low.
What?
