Our of Debt?!?!
Of course we'll never get out of debt; not when the state brags about a budget that decreases spending while passing another $3.9 billion in new debt to build new innner city schools.
All the while, a bill that would put inner city kids into successful private schools (at no cost to the taxpayers) languishes in the endless maze of legislative committees.
UGH!

Too bad they can't all be Barack Obama's kids, eh Joe!?:-D
Nice job on this one, Rob. Thanks for indulging me.
Democracy is an awful way to run a country, but it's the best system we have.- Winston Churchill
oh please
Private schools are not great simply because they are private...I received an excellent education in a public school. Furthermore, vouchers do nothing but place blame on teachers when the blame is in the community at large. Parents who do not care about their children's education produce shildren that do not care about education. The students will not do any better in private schools. As far as debt goes you should try reading what Leonard Lance has said this week
May I ask the bill number?
May I ask the bill number? How is it that the State could fund private school tuition—or do anything at all—without taxpayer money?
This is a complete insult to Carlin!
This is an insult to a comic genius. It's not even remotely funny. Tornoe's cartoons continue to get worse and worse. He's obviously someone's cousin at the Observer group, because that's the only way he could stay employed.
Would Carlin think this a tribute?
I also thought this was an injustice to Carlin and diminutive play on his talents. I mean nothing more than that, don't mean to join in the more general critique.
Tornoe
This is so lacking in good taste. Who will write the obituary for your column?
Attention all Political Hacks!!
Post your version of the obituary of Tornoe's career as a political cartoonist.

Carlin's 7 words seem to
Carlin's 7 words seem to apply to the taxpayers, b/c that's what they'll be saying after Corzine slips them the bullet of toll hikes on top of the $3.9 billion they have to pay back.
