Sabrin makes an exception

United States Senate candidate Murray Sabrin still plans to field an alternate slate of Republicans to every candidate in the June primary – except one.

Sabrin announced today that he won’t field a challenger to fifth district Republican Rep. E. Scott Garrett, since he adheres to the five Republican principles outlined in Sabrin’s "Constitutional Republicans protecting the Liberty Platform.”

"While we will be fielding delegates, alternate delegates, and candidates, we stand by those candidates and elected officials who support our platform's fundamental beliefs,” said Sabrin spokesman George Ajjan.  “As a result of this endorsement, we will not be running a candidate in our Bergen County line that competes with Congressman Garrett and we will be encouraging others to support Congressman Garrett's re-election."

Ha

The Murray Sabrin campaign is a joke.

Oh Wow

Murray Sabrin endorsed someone. That is worth.....well nothing.

...

"The Land of Make Believe proudly welcomes United States Senator Murray Sabrin, leader of the NJGOP Revolution"

It's funny

how Libertarians like Sabrin define themselves as Republicans by being pro-life and making that the platform of the GOP when Barry Goldwater was pro-choice and national libertarian parties are split on the issue.

03/07/08 4:31 pm

Well

Ain't that special Murry.

03/07/08 4:36 pm

Murray, I love you but ...

... you're starting to sound like Nikita Kruschev.  What's next?  Banging your shoe on the table at the Tick Tock Diner and demanding Tom Wilson remove all strategic missiles from Sussex County?  You're a good guy.  Stop listening to the idiots whispering sweet nothings in your ear or your next stop on the political merry-go-round will be a slightly slanted card table outside the DMV ranting at disinterested motorists and civil servants on their smoking break.

Martin has it right

Murray is a good guy... but he has the same problem Ron Paul has... Republicans agree with you 50% of the way and then you make a hard right turn to crazy town.

03/07/08 5:23 pm

Let's get serious

Do you want to end up with somebody named Kennedy or Buckalew? Please, let's call on Tom Kean Jr. or Forrester to the rescue. This is absurd. Economy, stupid, and finances stupid.

Take Sabrin Seriously

That so many would laugh at Sabrin for trying to do what he sees as principled is really scary. Those in the GOP need to remember what it was like when the party stood on principle, even if it made them look a little eccentric some times. Don't you guys remember what they said about Goldwater and Reagan?

Sabrin wants to take the party back. Is he the smoothest political operator? Maybe not. But what he has is a message that the country needs right now. Maybe enough people will realize this and support Sabrin.

03/07/08 11:44 pm

Sabrin

wants what is best for him.  If he cared about the party, where has he been before now?

03/08/08 12:25 am

"If you analyze it I believe

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. . . . The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is."

Ronald Reagan

03/08/08 11:41 am

Nonsense

If Sabrin wanted what was best politically for him, he wouldn't be so principled. He would support high taxes, abortion, and the Iraq War. He wouldn't be a libertarian.

So yeah, he wants to get elected, but he wants the Party to regain its principles.

03/08/08 6:10 pm

Sabrin is a joke

How does this Ron Paul wannabe think he will be able to win in a left-leaning New Jersey? He is strictly Pro-Life, pro-2nd Amendment, anti-amnesty, pro-Bush Tax Cut and wants to institute wacky libertarian monetary policies.

Economy, stupid, and finances, stupid

I do not know how many times I have to repeat it: finally we have a qualified candidate, who understands economy and finances. We should rally behind him, not try to discredit him and come up with some silly candidates that GOP establishment has been pushing down the pipeline. Let's just say to them: no!
