Lance for Congress has announced the endorsement of 33 elected officials and GOP leaders from Somerset County adding continued momentum to the campaign for the 7th Congressional District seat being vacated by Congressman Mike Ferguson, who is not seeking re-election.
"Leonard's record of fighting for fiscal responsibility, not just talking about it is what sets him apart from other candidates in this race," said Bridgewater Mayor Patricia Flannery. "Leonard has led the fight to end the practice of deficit spending and to reduce the size of government in Trenton and he will do the same in Washington," Flannery concluded.
"I am honored by the overwhelming support and confidence of these accomplished leaders. Their endorsements reflect the significant momentum of my campaign," Lance stated. "I look forward to representing Somerset County in Congress and pledge, as I always have in my career as a public servant, to listen to my constituents and vote my conscience accordingly."
These endorsements follow the endorsement of the Hunterdon County Republican Organization, Middlesex County Republican Screening Committee, State Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean, Jr. of Union County and Frank McDermott, a former GOP gubernatorial candidate and former Union County GOP Chairman.
Lance enjoys broad base support in his home county of Hunterdon including all 17 Republican mayors elected in towns located in the 7th Congressional District.
