Sordillo backs up Pennacchio on manifesto flap

Warren Mayor Victor Sordillo, a candidate for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 7th district, says that he would be happy to run on a ticket with U.S. Senate candidate Joseph Pennacchio and isn’t worried about a voter backlash over a Nationalist Party manifesto Pennacchio authored in 1991.

“I have spent a great deal of time with Senator Joe Pennachio over the past several weeks on the campaign trail. I am impressed with his passion and real ideas to strengthen America,” Sordillo said. “The Manifesto was written almost 20 years ago and he states that many of his positions have changed. I take him at his word. All of us mature over the years and most for better. As far as Senator Pennachio, I would be proud to be on the ticket with him.”

Sordillo criticized Senate candidate Murray Sabrin for releasing the manifesto.

“As Republicans, we appreciate a wide range of opinions and are not bound as tight to politically correctness. Debating issues is important but to dig up ancient history to hurt a fellow Republican is wrong. This will only lead to a virtual gag on potential solutions to our common problems,” Sordillo said.

Mayor of ... where? Who? backs Jersey Joke

"All of us mature over the years and most for better." I can see that. Congratulations on the maturity process. There is a long way to sanity ahead.

Sordillo scares me!

Yikes! Now there are two manifesto lovers...it's spreading.

Fascists on Parade

I didnt know the New Jersey Bundt was being revived!

Bundt is a cake

The worst part of the Manifesto was using the "Penn" signature.  The Penn family of Pennsylvania was not the most honest of businessmen.  A little more Colonial history is needed.

Look's like they...

Look's like they decided to bring out the big guns - LOL. Of course Sordillo wouldn't have a problem running on the ticket with anyone, he thinks all of New Jersey is like Warren. This is a town that has over 3.5 registered Republicans for every Democrat and doesn't even have democrats file many years! This is also the town Dan Gallic of the Pennicchio campaign lives in and is I believe the vice-chair of the GOP committee.

Pennachio/Sordillo

Well, nobody ever said there was a shortage of fascist idealists in office. You two run on a ticket together, that way we can eliminate two with one vote. Kudos to Dr. Sabrin for bringing this to our attention! It's not an effort to weaken the Republican core dimwit, it's a Patriotic attempt to restore sanity and honor to a party that has all but committed collective suicide through beliefs and ideals just like those that are now exposed in the "Manifesto". It doesn't matter if it was written 20 years ago...nobody in U.S. Politics should EVER have considered those acceptable positions. The good news for Pennachio/Sordillo is that there are countries that will welcome that platform. My hope is you hop on a plane soon and set up your little shop of horrors there.

Looks like

Looks like Marks is turning out to be the only Republican in this race that stands for the party's conservative roots.  Hopefully Middlesex and Somerset will realize that and he will win the lines in those upcoming conventions.
