I wonder if the jukebox Newark purchased plays Take the Money and Run, because it’s pretty clear that the middle class taxpayers of New Jersey are being routinely swindled, said Bucco. “We have a Democrat governor and Democrat majorities in both Houses of the Legislature who are more than willing to denounce this kind of waste and abuse, but do absolutely nothing about it.

Of course if we had a strong State Comptroller or Inspector General to conduct real investigations of these abuses, maybe there would be a chance to protect the taxpayers. Unfortunately, the Trenton Democrats just finished passing a toothless Comptroller bill that actually guts the existing powers of the Inspector General, so I guess the fleecing of New Jersey will go on unabated, said Bucco. Middle class property tax bills continue to soar and the Democrats continue to prevent any debate on reducing even the most questionable spending in State Government.
