REFORMS ARE IN PLACE?
SCC OK’s School Next to Passaic Porn Palace!
Senator Anthony R. Bucco (R-Morris) issued the following statement regarding published reports that the scandal-plagued, Democrat-run Schools Construction Corporation (SCC) plans to construct a $37 million elementary school next to a “sex theater and hotel known for prostitution. According to media reports, the SCC recently told the superintendent of the Passaic school district that they would not pay the estimated $5 million cost to demolish the buildings.

“After blowing through $8.6 billion as a result of unprecedented corruption, fraud and waste, the Democrat-run SCC now proposes to ‘save’ money by making 5-year olds go to school next to a pornographic theater and a house of prostitution. The Governor claims that reforms are in place at the SCC, although you wouldn’t know it from picking up the newspaper. I guess it never occurred to anyone at the SCC that they could have saved money by doing their jobs in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
“The Trenton Democrats now want middle class taxpayers to fork over an additional $12.7 billion for Abbott schools, but this latest episode shows just how out of touch they are with the values of New Jersey families. For all the outrage they have expressed, does anybody seriously think that when the time comes, the Democrat legislators won’t toe the party line and hand over even more money to a Schools Construction Corporation that is clearly out of control.
“Every taxpayer in this State should remember this fiasco when the Democrats bring legislation to a vote to authorize their next wild, multi-billion dollar spending spree.
