REPORT PROVES FARBER UNABLE TO CONTINUE AS ATTORNEY GENERAL
Resign or Be Removed
Senate Judiciary Committee member Joseph M. Kyrillos, Jr. (R-Monmouth/Middlesex) issued the following statement on the report of Special Deputy Attorney General Richard J. Williams on the conduct of Attorney General Zulima V. Farber at a traffic incident involving her live-in companion.
"When I opposed the confirmation of Attorney General Farber in the Senate Judiciary Committee, I urged her that upon taking office she should act in a manner that would dispel the doubts that I had regarding her nomination. Sadly, the report by Judge Williams will result in the loss of public confidence in the Attorney General’s ability to lead her department and perform her job.
Unfortunately, the time has come for her to resign or be removed for cause by the Governor."
