Connecting the dots

Todd Caliguire's campaign says they have nothing to do with the campaign of a third candidate in the race for State Senate in the 40th district.  Wayne attorney Victor Rabbat said this week that he would run in the race to succeed Henry McNamara.

Rabbat is a political ally of former Assembly Majority Leader Paul DiGaetano (he ran on DiGaetano's 2005 slate as a Freeholder candidate), and Di Gaetano is a bitter rival of Assemblyman Kevin O'Toole, who is viewed as the front-runner in the Senate race.  Rabbat could pull some votes away from O'Toole in Passaic County, which could help Caliguire win.
