Ethics stays front and center in 2nd District

Images of mostly Democratic elected officials trailing away from the trough of corruption and through the public consciousness earlier this month have sent scandalized Jefferson-Jackson lawmakers in tough districts into ethical overdrive.

A signal of Inverso's intentions

One sign that State Senator Peter Inverso will seek re-election to a sixth term: fellow Republican Bill Baroni, considered a likely Inverso successor, announced today that he would run for re-election to a third term in the State Assembly. Eleven of the state's forty Senators are retiring this year, and Inverso and Democrat Sharpe James have been viewed as the most likely candidates to expand that list.
