QUIGLEY/MANZO/STACK BILL LIMITING HANDGUN PURCHASES TO ONE A MONTH CLEARS ASSEMBLY

(TRENTON) - The General Assembly today passed legislation Assembly members Joan M. Quigley, Louis M. Manzo, and Brian P. Stack sponsored that would make it illegal for people to purchase more than one handgun a month in New Jersey - a restriction that would help curtail gun access by criminal street gangs. 

BILL COMBATING ROGUE TOW TRUCK OPERATORS, PREDATORY TOWING PRACTICES ADVANCES

(TRENTON) - Legislation sponsored by Assembly members Bob Gordon, Nilsa Cruz-Perez, Gordon M. Johnson, and Louis M. Manzo that would strengthen regulation of the state's towing industry and crack down on unscrupulous, rogue tow-truck operators preying on unsuspecting motorists passed the General Assembly today by a vote of 79 to 1.

Measure Would Require State Investment Council, Division of Investment Directors to File Financial Disclosure Statements

(TRENTON) - Assemblymen Neil M. Cohen and Louis M. Manzo today announced they have introduced legislation that would require the director and the assistant directors of the New Jersey State Division of Investment in the Department of Treasury and all members of the State Investment Council to file financial disclosure statements.

(TRENTON) - The Senate today passed a piece of a sweeping "Fighting Gangs, Protecting Our Youth" legislative initiative Assembly Majority Leader Bonnie Watson Coleman championed to provide municipalities, schools, and law enforcement authorities with new tools to combat the growing menace of street gangs in New Jersey.
