Mallet will run with Karcher, Panter

Monmouth County Democrats are expected to endorse Amy Mallet, a Fair Haven businesswoman, to run for State Assembly in the 12th district. She will run on a slate with State Sen. Ellen Karcher and Assemblyman Michael Panter.

"Amy will make a superb Assemblywoman," said Panter. "A widely recognized business leader, a mother, a philanthropist, a trustee of her synagogue, and someone who will lead in the Assembly just as she has in her community.�

N.J. Edwards supporter applauds continuation of '08 bid

Assemblyman Michael Panter said today that he supports John Edwards' decision to remain in the presidential race.  "I know family comes first for Senator Edwards.  Elizabeth is an inspiration as she faces her private health issues in such a public way – with dignity and strength," said Panter.

"He left the campaign trail to be with her, but she told him the campaign is about more than just their family – it’s about millions of families who share John’s vision for our country," Panter said.  "We extend our support and prayers to the Edwards family."
