SWEENEY SAYS BUDGET PUTS STATE ON RIGHT COURSE

TRENTON Senate Majority Leader Stephen M. Sweeney today said the State budget for the new fiscal year “begins a process of accountability and integrity” which reflects tough economic times and the need for efficiencies at all levels of government.

Roberts, Jr. today announced that roughly 200,000 taxpayers have yet to apply for the state's newly expanded property tax rebate program to claim the estimated $200 million in rebate money that remains sitting in the state treasury.
