GOVERNOR PLANS TO PAY OFF VISA WITH AMEX CARD

  Jon Corzine has been telling the public that his plan will reduce debt.  The opposite is true.

Newly sworn in Senator Joe Pennacchio, (R-26), issued the following statement today in response to Governor John Corzine’s State of the State message.

(CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, September 26) -- Senator Nick Asselta -- responding to Democrat Jeff Van Drew’s stunning admission in yesterday’s Press of Atlantic City that Van Drew believes Asselta did not, in fact, intend to support the leasing of state highways when he voted for the 1999 Structured Financing Act, despite Van Drew campaign mail pieces declaring otherwise -- today held a press conference in front of Van Drew’s campaign headquarters and asked why anyone should believe anything the Van Drew campaign says.

  Today’s Quinnipiac Poll demonstrates that the people of New Jersey are clearly opposed to any ‘asset monetization’ or other sale scheme by a two to one margin. Earlier this year Governor Corzine promised to hold Town Hall meetings in all 21 Counties.  Since he is not doing it, I decided to offer Burlington County a voice.

Senator Thomas Kean, (R-21), responded today to published comments made by Governor Jon S. Corzine linking the future of  schools construction program in New Jersey  to his secret plan to sell the state's toll roads and other assets.

Apparently We Can't Handle the Truth!

Kean (R-Essex/Morris/Union/Somerset) applauded efforts by legislators to obtain documents on the proposed sale of New Jersey toll roads and called upon the Corzine Administration not to waste taxpayer dollars defending their policy of keeping information on the scheme secret from the public.
