(TRENTON) - The Assembly Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee today released legislation Assemblyman Jack Conners and Assemblywoman Nilsa Cruz-Perez sponsored to designate the last Sunday in September of each year as New Jersey Gold Star Mother's Day.

BARRINGTON – Dale Glading, candidate for U.S. Congress in New Jersey’s 1st District, honored American veterans this Memorial Day.

“We owe our veterans an enormous debt of gratitude for their service to this country,” Glading said. “We should never forget those who have given their lives so that we may continue to live freely. It is through their sacrifice that we remain ‘a city upon a hill’; a model of respect for human dignity and civil rights the whole world over.”

Glading commemorated the solemn holiday by attending memorial services in both Barrington and Haddonfield.

(TRENTON) - The Assembly today passed legislation Assemblymen Jack Conners sponsored to honor the thousands of New Jersey military veterans who served in the U.S. Armed forces during the 46-year Cold War era.
