THEIR SILENCE IS HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR:
Voss & Gordon Remain Quiet on Coniglio Scandal
Bergen County, NJ - District 38 Republican Assembly candidates John Driscoll and Rene Czarnecki are calling on their opponents to admonish the actions of their running mate, State Senator Joseph Coniglio, who is the target of a federal investigation for allegedly steering money from the state budget to Hackensack University Medical Center in exchange for a $5,500 a month “consulting” job.
“Whether the conflict is real or perceived, Gordon and Voss should not idly sit by while there is a federal investigation in their district”, said John Driscoll, a Republican Assembly candidate from Paramus. Driscoll continued to note that Gordon and Voss have also received federal subpoenas in connection to the budget scandal. “Gordon and Voss were both also served with federal subpoenas, yet they remain silent. The people of the 38th District deserve principled and ethical leaders, not politicians who dodge important issues.” concluded Driscoll.
“Public officials are responsible to the citizens they represent, the people deserve answers, not silence.” said Renee Czarnecki, a Republican Assembly candidate from South Hackensack. “Sadly, this brings corruption to a new level. District 38 is the only district where all three legislators were served with federal subpoenas. Apparently our opponents do not think they need to recognize this major issue.” concluded Czarnecki
