Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein objected to an Inside Edge item posted 364 days ago suggesting that she didn't pass the ethics smell test becaus she turned over campaign funds she received from convicted former Senate President John Lynch to New Jersey Citizen Action, a group that has a PAC that endorsed only Democrats in the last two election cycles. Greenstein dismissed the possibility that her move "could be viewed as simpy funneling money Lynch gave her to Democratic campaigns." Today, Greenstein's campaign announced that the New Jersey Tenants Association -- which is affiliated with Citizen Action and shares an Executive Director, Phyllis Salowe-Kaye, has endorsed the entire Democratic slate in the 14th district.
State Senator Joseph Vitale was the first to give Lynch's money away -- he sent it to Habitat for Humanity and a local charity supporting children with serious illnesses. So far, neither group has endorsed candidates in Vitale's district.

Grasping at straws
Given that the 14th is a clean district, there is no chance that any PAC money (do they EVEN have a PAC?) from the NJ Tenants Association will make its way into Greenstein's coffers. Therefore, the implication by Wally Edge that there is some kind of quid pro quo going on is TOTAL bs. This is clearly the Baroni attack machine going into high gear here: We got nothing so we're gonna start making stuff up!
Stuff up
Alan Linda Greenstein was taking money from a convicted felon Senator John Lynch who is one of the most corrupt politicians in history.Linda gave the money to the NJ Tenants Association who in turn for the money support Seema,Linda and Wayne. You can not make that stuff up.When is the corruption going to end
Alan...
"This is clearly the Baroni attack machine going into high gear here: We got nothing so we're gonna start making stuff up!"
What exactly are you talking about?
This article by Wally has nothing to do with a press release or anything coming from the Baroni campaign.
Wally was merely pointing out an interesting fact. You can say whatever you want about Wally or the story, but don't throw around lies and insuinate this comes from the Baroni "attack machine" when it has nothing to do with them or him.
Tiger is WRONG
Like Baroni, Tiger and Esedler are playing fast and loose with the facts. This endorsement does not come with money. Clean candidates are prohibited from taking money from organizations. This was simply a political endorsement. The unwillingness of Wally Edge or the other two posters here to get their facts straight on this is exactly what makes your comments so troubling. By the way, Wally Edge is director of propaganda for Baroni and is part of the attack machine. Witness the constant news items whenever Baroni gets endorsed by any Tom, Dick or Harry.
A Republican getting
A Republican getting endorsed by large unions and major backers such as NJEA, PBA, etc...is pretty big news if you ask me.
Wally never said this endorsement came with money for Greenstein. He was drawing a point from an interesting story from last year.
Where am I wrong in my facts?
This article has absolutely nothing to do with Baroni. You brought his name into the story, it wasn't there before.
Playing fast and loose
Both of you are making up facts. Tiger wrote that a campaign contribution accompanied this endorsement. The reason for that is because Wally wasn't clear in his post that the endorsement carried no money. In this world of politics, it must be made clear if an endorsement carries with it no contribution. Otherwise, the assumption is that money was included. It was Wally's OMISSION that led Tiger to his false conclusion and assumption.
As for your post, it's clear that Wally is being used as a tool by Baroni for negative campaigning against Seema, Linda and Wayne. Like Bush who used Swift Boat ads against John Kerry, so too does Baroni use surrogates against his opponents--and Baroni comes off smelling like a rose who doesn't engage in negative campaigning. By the way, Baroni still hasn't divulged his opinions on project vote smart. His disingenuity as a candidate and a person is striking.
Alan
Wally was very clear with his story .He never said Linda got money from the NJ Tenant Association.John Lynch gave a donation to Linda Greenstein who in turn gave the money to the NJ Tenants Association instead of doing the honorable thing and giving the donation to charity.
Baroni Throws Arnaz Ali Under The Bus
Let’s talk about the Baroni’s ethical side of having blamed his young staffer of orchestrating the dirty tricks of preparing negative letters to the editor for signature by Republicans operative against Singh. Does anybody believe that the staffer Arnaz Ali did this on his own, no it was orchestrated by Baroni! Baroni always blames his staffers when he gets caught, everyone should remember the Mother of the Iraq War Hero who he told to “get over it!” Baroni has ruined the career of Arnaz Ali, any potential employer interested in hiring this person will likely do a web search and fine that this person was involved in dirty tricks and lacks the ethics needed to succeed in any job.
Karcher and Mercer Insider leading the negative campaign
How's that quote go that everyone uses on this site...
"Those in glass houses.."
You know how it goes...
Have fun voting for Seema Singh guys. I hope you enjoy her victory party celebration the night of November 6th, really that should be a ball!!!
I AM SHOCKED
That Seema Singh has visible supporters!!!
Apparently she hasn't run over Mercer Insider and Alan Karcher with the golf cart just yet..or flew off the hook at them.
Maybe it's just that these two characters hate Bill Baroni so much they are willing to throw anything at him.
Does she pay you $10/Hour to blog comment for her?
By the way why did Linda Greenstein give her John Lynch money to a organization that has a PAC that has never endorsed a Republican.
Seems like a bit of a conflict of interest that the leader of the organization also heads the tenants organization, which in turn endorsed Greenstein and the gang this year. Perhaps she remembered that nice $2,000 check she received from Greenstein when making her endorsements.
