VAN DREW, ALBANO, MILAM RALLY UP OPPOSITION TO SELLING & LEASING OUR ROADS, INCREASING OUR TOLLS, BORROWING MORE ON OUR TOLL ROADS, AND CREATING A NEW AGENCY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS
(CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ)—Assemblyman Jeff Van Drew, Assemblyman Nelson Albano and their running mate Matt Milam announced today that they are holding a rally in opposition to selling and leasing our roads, increasing our tolls, borrowing more on our roads, and creating a new agency to accomplish any of this. The Rally will be Thursday, August 9th, 6pm at the Ocean View Fire Hall – 2545 Route 9 Ocean View. People can fill out their petition, volunteer to help, or just listen. Food and drinks will be provided. Anyone planning on attending is asked to RSVP to 609-463-1972 and leave a message.
“As I have been going door to door and standing in front of stores I have heard that people do not want their roads sold and they do not want their tolls to go up. We are going to do whatever we can to make sure this doesn’t happen,” said Milam.
“After decades of mismanagement by many administrations in the State of New Jersey we now have serious, problematic fiscal issues. The way to cure the issues is not by creating another problem and harming the integrity of our infrastructure,” said Albano.
“We are going to have an old fashioned rally to show the broad level of opposition to selling, leasing our toll roads, increasing our tolls, or borrowing on our roads,” said Van Drew. “You do not sell your home to pay off your credit card debt.”
