Pelios to retire as Somerset Dem Chairman

Somerset County Democratic Chairman Elia Pelios is stepping down after ten years.  Democratic County Committee will meet in June to replace him.

Four candidates are seeking the Democratic nomination for Somerset County Freeholder to oppose Republicans incumbents Peter Palmer and Bob Zaborowski: Somerville Councilman Dennis Sullivan, Montgomery Mayor Celia Xie Birge, North Plainfield Councilman Douglas Singleterry, and Rev. John Graf, the former Somerset County United Way Chairman who sought the GOP nod in 2007.

Bedminster Councilman Finn Caspersen, Jr. is challenging the incumbents in the GOP primary.

John Malay - Bernards Twp. Committeeman

You forgot to include John Malay as the other Republican challenging the incumbents.  Word on the street is Malay and Caspersen are being backed by those in the Republican Party who wanted the Parks Commission disbanded.  Palmer and Zaborowski voted against disbanding the Commission.
