There’s still no official word from Brian Stack on his preference in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary. Stack, a State Senator and Mayor of Union City who is a voter turnout powerhouse in North Hudson, was among those touted on Tuesday morning as a likely supporter of Rob Andrews. But sources say that Stack believed that Joseph Ferriero – the Bergen Democratic Chairman backed down after Steve Rothman publicly emasculated him -- and seems reluctant to be among the first North Jerseyans to endorse Andrews.
Apparently, the GOP vice presidential nominee -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- has come as a huge surprise to Democrats.

Stack & Sacco. Perfect Together!
If Mayor Stack is not with Andrews, it's nearly impossible for him to win the primary. Sacco & Stack control nearly half the primary vote in Hudson.
With Sacco already behind Rothman's re-election (33% of the primary vote comes from Hudson) and Rothman's strong support in places like Teaneck, Hackensack, Englewood and Fair Lawn, it would be impossible to defeat him on or off the line in either county!
Rothman will crush Wildes. This would be dumber than his last aborted attempt at higher office. Who is counseling these people?
Sadaam Hussein?
Elliot Spitzer?

Stack is a Sell Out
Brian Stack’s Freeholder Candidates filed this morning to run on the HCDO line in June with Frank Lautenberg. Stack is not a force in Hudson County he is a farce. When Hudson County’s real boss Bob Menendez told Stack to jump Brian asked, “How high,” and caved after a year of big talk. Now the State Senator who pushed Bernie Kenny out for over staying his welcome is endorsing Frank Lautenberg despite running on a platform that NJ was going through a philosophical and generational change. Brian Stack is not the real deal and the sooner Andrews realizes that the better off he will be. To think what Glenn Cunningham would have done with this opportunity if he ever got it! Stack was never about the people, just the patronage.
its because of Albio
Stack's in a tough position b/c his boy Albio Sires already agreed to run with Lautenberg on the HCDO line.
If Stack supports Andrews, will he also support a primary challenge to Albio? Surely someone will take a shot running on a line w/ Andrews.
Stack gave Albio the Green Light
Stack gave Albio the green light to go with Lautenberg after Menendez gave the HCDO license to bend Stack over. Albio is the biggest sell out considering Norcross and Company made his career by making him Assembly Speaker. They were also his only reliable cash flow after the HCDO cut him off. Menendez on the other hand tried to block Albio's appointment as speaker and didn't even endorse Albio for Congress in 2006 (claiming he didn’t want to alienate Joe Vas and Middlesex County). Brian Stack is not capable of being a leader because he fears Bob Menendez. Political leaders are born not made. Stack is just another Paul Jordan.
