Expect Christopher Myers’ $500 personal check to Frank Lautenberg’s 2008 re-election campaign to become an issue in the Republican primary for Congress in the third district. Myers wrote the check last year, before Jim Saxton announced that he was retiring – presumably in his capacity as a Lockheed-Martin Vice President. But what was Myers thinking? Even last year, he was a Republican elected official (the Deputy Mayor of Medford) and had to know this contribution would be used against him in the future.

Wally - even I thought you were smarter than Jack Kelly. Yes, Chris is a Republican elected official. However, he is also a VP in the the largest private employer in South Jeresy whose success in part depends upon the assistance from our elected federal representatives. A $500 contribution is not a huge matter not an endorsement.
$250
should have kept it under the reporting limit. Not too bright.

It's just a legalized bribe -- a garden variety attempt to pick the public's pocket by buying influence -- what's the big deal?!?

commonsensenj=no common sense. So what you are saying is that anyone who contributes is someone who is trying to bribe a public official? That may be the dumbest thing I have heard today.
