Rumor Watch: N.J. superdelegate leaning to Clinton

One uncommitted superdelegate from New Jersey appears to be leaning toward Hillary Clinton, according to recent comments he made to close friends who have communicated his position to PolitickerNJ.com. Red Bank resident Philip Murphy, the Democratic National Committee Finance Chairman and a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs (where he was aligned with the faction that essentially tossed Jon Corzine as Chairman in 1999), has reportedly told at least three individuals that he would likely vote for Clinton over Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention – if the nomination comes down to a contest in Denver.

New Jersey has two other uncommitted superdelegates: Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who is trying hard to avoid any conversation that includes the Clinton/Obama contest, and Rep. Rush Holt.

Getting closer to Jon?

Phil, I think it is too late to make up with Jon.

time to declare

Lautenberg and Holt need to take a stand and declare their intentions, as Chairman Dean has asked.

The party needs to get its act together before the convention and start worrying about McCain.

Perhaps Phil...

Want's To Get Rid Of Corzine In New Jersey - Pushing Him Down To D.C. Where He Can Do Federal Damage And Not Hump Up The State In Such A Direct Manner. Hillary Will Only Put Up With Him As A Subordinate For Only So Long. No Friendship Is That Strong!

Of Course, When He Messes Up In D.C., The Nation Will Just Have One More New Jersey Joke To Pass About In Their Arsenal!

IMHO, Rush Holt Is One Of The Biggest Tools In Jersey's Shed!

"One uncommitted superdelegate from New Jersey appears to be leaning toward Hillary Clinton, ... Red Bank resident Philip Murphy, the Democratic National Committee Finance Chairman and a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs ..."

Well duh, aren't all corporatists for Clinton?

Hell, instead of business suits and lapel pins these guys should walk around in NASCAR jackets like the bought and paid for sponsored whores that they are.
