Democrats are almost giddy over the increasingly divisive primary in New Jersey’s third congressional district, where Republicans Christopher Myers and Jack Kelly – each with the support of one major county GOP organization and with virtually the same amount of money – are likely increasing their negatives as they beat up on their opponents. That’s good news for Democrat John Adler, the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman, who has no primary opponent and over $1 million in his warchest as he seeks to win a seat the Republicans have held continuously since Thomas Ferrell lost re-election in 1884.

And?
Not really news. What Democrat wouldn't be excited about a hard primary of the other party in a big election?
always good news
good thing Boss Gilmore and Boss Paulsen couldn't come to a consensus.
Yep
John Adler is sitting pretty alright. Sitting right in the middle of corruption and abuse alley with a semi heading right for him.
This limousine liberal, Harvard grad from Norcross County will need $15M+ to get in the upper 40% range in the 3rd.
This guy, on the record, has stated his affection for Norcross. In addition, he is and will continue to be painted as the main reason NJ is one of the most corrupt and expensive states in the Union.
Sit back and smile now John, will be fun watching you squirm as your former colleague sings for the US Attorney. Wonder what will come out of that plea bargain???
Myers beats Kelly by 15pts and beat Adler by 17pts.
This assumes that Kelly is not brought up on charges for his no-show job at the SJTA and Adler is not named as an unindicted co-conspirator that allowed Bryant to steal money for his personal gain and the gain of his family and other benefactors...
Adler
You should take the blue pill, abetternj, and come back to reality. Adler couldn't be in a better position than he is now, with over $1 million waiting to be spent (nearly a 4-1 advantage over Kelly and Myers), no primary opponent, support from the DCCC, record Democratic voter registration, and a wave of anti-Republicansism in the district and country to boot.
Lame attempts to connect Adler with Bryant reveal just how desperate the Republican hierarchy is and how vapid and out-of-touch the GOP is on domestic and international policy positions. Should we even mention the puppet strings of Boss Paulsen and Boss Gilmore on the GOP side? Myers by 17%? That's a good joke, and it remains to be seen whether he even makes it out of the primary.
Who got the endorsements of The Sierra Club and The Recreational Fishing Alliance, by the way?
Alice is alive
Great to see that Alice climbed out of her hole. Wonder where that hole was. Anyway, keep tooting that Regional - oops - Recreational Fishing Alliance endorsement horn. The folks in the OC - Ocean County for your info - know there is some interesting gossip that will come back to bite Johnny in the rear. Agree with abetternj now - Myers will win and then beat Adler and the corrupt machine in November. I am sure he will be voting for someone in the 3rd unlike Alice who doesn't live in the district.
speaking of lame
When you have no policies (Continue the Iraq War indefinitely! The health care system is fine!) to run on, like the Kelly and Myers campaign, lame sycophants like theoc are left making equally vapid arguments for their candidacy. I'll remember the "Myers will win and then beat Adler" line in November; after all, this is the person who claimed Sherwood would be fine and Ferguson, who wisely retired rather than get beaten by Stender, would win by double digits.
And speaking of "climbing out of a hole," are you ever going to shed the pseudonym and have the courage to reveal your name?
Allen v Dennison Redux
Wow, if we are to believe the incompetent ramblings of Martin, we would be believing the moon truly is made of cheese.
What I find so very sad is that for all of this person's ranting and trying to sound so self important, he is only someone as desperate as his Democrats trying to force people to believe his way or else.
I know for a fact that all of this rantings are just more fodder for entertainment; all of his hot air only reinforces his incompetence as to the reality of how people vote in these districts and counties.
If you want entertainment, go back to the election last year and read Martin's posts villifying Diane and every other GOP running. The problem is, he is batting a big ZERO for his predictions because he is void of understanding anything that is not hateful of the GOP.
Myers will win the primary and go on the beat Adler in the general. Adler will not win Ocean County because OC to Adler is like Cherry Hill to Myers. Adler will need a huge chunk of Burlington and that will not happen. I will say that Adler will more than likely take Camden (big surprise) but without the backing of Burlco and OC he will lose to Myers despite all the millions and millions Norcross gives him.
