Where does Frank Lautenberg live? If you ask the four-term Senator, he’ll say in his Cliffside Park condo. But others – not just his rivals – say that when he’s not in Washington, he spends most of his nights at his wife’s New York City apartment. On May 12, Lautenberg’s office dismissed a Politics1.com report that the concierge at Lautenberg’s apartment said the Senator’s office sends a staffer to pick up his mail each week. “He picks up his mail himself at the mailroom at his apartment building,” said Dan Katz, Lautenberg’s Chief of Staff, told PolitickerNJ.com. “When? When he gets there back from Washington at the end of the work week when we are in session or when he is already there when Senate is in recess.”
But Katz contradicted himself today when he told The Record that Eleanore Rigolosi will continue as Lautenberg’s personal assistant (her husband, former Bergen County Democratic Chairman Victor Rigolosi, resigned as Treasurer of Lautenberg’s political action committee yesterday after published reports of legal problems that led to his disbarment), and would perform tasks like “picking up the mail at his Cliffside Park apartment.”
Today, Katz told PolitickerNJ.com that he never told The Record reporter Jeff Pillets that Rigolosi picks up the mail from the Lautenberg apartment. And Lautenberg, at an event accepting a major union endorsement, told PolitickerNJ.com that he picks up his own mail and has slept at his Cliffside Park apartment for the last seven nights.

Where's Waldo? Who cares!! Andrews simply ran out of time! Lautenberg by 8-10 points!
out of line
this is a non-story. there have been rumors and everyone has speculated as to where Frank spends MOST of his time, but to question his true residency is so out of line and a non-story that you should be ashamed for how much time and space you've wasted on the issue.
when there is so much going on in the country, between losing jobs, to an ongoing war, to genocides, to high fuels costs, to groceries costing more than ever before THIS IS THE STUFF you want to write about?
I dont know how you can honestly claim to be a conveyor of news. you are so beneath the standard of journalism and reporting that you should be evicted from this site.
look at your writing, you're basing it on the issue of whether or not frank has his mail picked up for him. even if he did it wouldnt mean that he doesnt live in nj. all it would mean is that whenever he gets back from dc he has it all there for him. and that's when he gets back from dc, unlike andrews who hasnt been going to dc so he can campaign full time.
even if you dont like frank, focus on his debate performance, focus on his voting record, but to focus on a he said she said issue of mail delievery is preposterous. i am honestly sad for you wally, this is a low. i've pointed out that you clearly favor andrews and i still do, even more so now than before, but to make this an issue lacks judgment and responsibility. it even lacks the usual wit that you manage to conjure up on what are becoming less frequent occasions.
please retire sometime soon and let a professional post his or her opinion on this site.
Lautenberg the Aristocrat.
Hey, I'm Frank Lautenberg. I'm from Passaic (but people think you live in Manhattan buddy).
Hey, I' against the Iraq War (but you supported Joe Lieberman for president in 2004 and you voted with Bush in 2003 Frank)
Hey, age shouldn't be an issue (But Frank, you said Millicent Fenwick was too old at 72 and your like 160!)
Hey, no need to debate (I agree. When people see you stumbling over your own words, they'll realize the only guy with the stones to challenge you deserved the seat instead of waiting for you to play the liberal version of Strom Thurmond).
ANDREWS FOR SENATE.
Vote Column - All the way!

7 Nights in NJ
I'll bet this is the first time Frank has slept in NJ for seven straight nights since his 2002 campaign.
Cliffside Park is a mail-drop.
I can't believe the NJ newspapers haven't made more of a story about this.
WE
At a meeting in FL's home on 84 Hamilton Ave in Paterson, NJ, It was agreed by all to not reveal where any of us live or for that matter where anyone in NJ lives. We ate Chinese food from Wong Lee's takeout on 12th ave. We then went to the corner of 10th ave and Madison ave by School # 21. We strolled down 10th ave(murder ave to some) to the Jamaican restaurant. We ate roti. FL introduced all of us to his friends. Andrews told everyone where he lives(We think that's where he lives? Not sure?). Let's vote.
What? Frank lives?
I thought Senator Dimentia was dead? How can you tell he is alive?
Mail forwarding.
Have Frank heard about mail forwarding service that the post office offers? Why bother to send a personal assistant to pick up your mail if you could have it forwarded to your permament address. Yes, that's a problem, which is the permament address: Washington, DC, Manhattan, NY, Veil, CO, Patterson, NJ or better yet Cliffside Park, NJ?
I do not support Lautenberg
I do not support Lautenberg but I do not care about this issue. HE lived in NJ when he ran and represents NJ on national issues. Very few US Senate issue pertain to specific NJ issues. As long as a Senator is representing the views of the State, he could live in Alabama for all I care.
John Ashcroft should run.
FBI raided Irvington's Housing Authority.
ok
SO nothing is taking hold for Andrews so Wally decided to bring this up again for him...lets eee if Andrews mentions this in the debate tonight. Its easy to get Wally to do his research. FL lives in NJ, he represent NJ (better than Andrews could ever dream). And Mom-while I agree with you that Andrews loses-I wouldnt be surprised if FL beats him more handidly than you suggest. By the way Andrews just isnt being rejected by NJ it seems he is on the outs in DC as well
Wasn't he registered to vote
Wasn't he registered to vote in Washington instead of NJ? Why hasn't anyone taken action.
ANDREWS - Column A - All The Way!
Stupid Non Issue
If there was any basis in fact for this Andrews would have forced Frank off the ballot long ago.
The real questions here are the character and credibility of Andrews.
He has yet to come clean with the dirty details of how, when and why he entered this race.

...in yesterday's primary election wasn't as stupid as some Andrews' surrogates/supporters thought.
This non issue went nowhere; which is where it deserved to be!
Maybe Zimmer's surrogates/supporters will try to pull te same crap? If they do they'll get the same result!
