Jim McSorley, the Republican candidate for Mercer County Sheriff, continues to hit incumbent Kevin Larkin on taking side security jobs while serving as a full-time law enforcement officer. Now he's proposing 100% transparency by implementing an electronic daily tracking system to watch the actual hours worked by the Sheriff and Undersherifs and posting the data daily on the county website. The retired State Police captain faces an uphill battle in a strongly Democratic county, but he seems to have latched on an issue with some legs. Mercer County Democrats are taking McSorley seriously.
