Robert Prunetti, who served as Mercer County Executive from 1992 to 2004, has applied to become the new President of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. This is a huge drop for Prunetti, who actively touted himself as a candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate, before a series of scandals tarnished his legacy.
Prunetti Chief of Staff Harry Parkin and Mercer County Improvement Authority Chairman James Lambert, were convicted of federal corruption charges in 2005. The two steered millions of dollars of county recycling contracts to a firm they owned. Lambert pleaded guilty and cooperated with federal prosecutors; he served five months in prison and an additional five months under house arrest. A jury convicted Parkin, who is now serving a seven year prison sentence.
After the completion of Lambert’s incarceration, he moved to Monroe County, Pennsylvania. He is now the Executive Director of the
Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority, a post he received with the support of Tunkhannock Township Supervisor Richard Van Noy, who once ran unsuccessfully for Mercer County Freeholder. Van Noy, a former Washington Township (now Robbinsville) administrator, is a MCMWMA Commissioner.

Too Mobbed Up for ANY Job
Oh please -- Bob Prunetti as president of the Princeton Area Chamber is like putting Jim McGreevey in chargae of a cub scout camp!
To think that ther wouldn't be a better choice -- like somebody who had a connection to Princeton or that wasn't on the ethical fringe, might be a real good idea for the job.
Bob Prunetti. YUK.
Is This a Joke?
I just looked at my calendar and it is NOT April Fool's Day so this must be some kind of really bad joke. Maybe Prunetti could hire his Chief-of-Staff felon Harry Parkin as his deliquent dues "enforcer" when he gets out of Federal prison. What a truly terrible idea.
What ?
This is a guy that destroyed and bankrupted the Mercer County GOP.You can have him.
