Reports that Lisa Jackson could be headed to Washington as Barack Obama's Environmental Protection Agenecy director means that Gov. Jon Corzine will need to appoint a new Chief of Staff. Jackson, who spent nearly three years as Corzine's Commissioner of Environmental Protection, replaced Bradley Abelow on Monday. Now she could be gone next month, just as Corzine begins his bid for re-election to a second term.
Several top front office staffers are also likely to depart soon: Deputy Chief of Staff Maggie Moran is expected to manage the re-election campaign, and Deputy Chief of Staff Patti McGuire is supposed to be leaving early next year. There is some talk that Jo Astrid Glading, a statehouse veteran who worked for Gov. James E. McGreevey, will join the Corzine staff next year.

Hmmm

Just some thoughts...
Hummmmm
Hope L. Cooper?
Hmmmm
I think Hope Cooper or Marilyn Davis would be great picks for election year COS.
Who Is?
I am a rather well tuned in NJ politico and I have no idea who Hope Carter is. As for Ms. Davis, well, let's just say that if I was running a $33 billion entity she would not be my first choice to help me adminster that endeavor.
Who next to head The Titanic?
The Corzine juggernaut will crash and sink and anyone with a shred of common sense will get out of the way and find themselves a life jacket.
Any credible politico does not want this job.
